About Us | Aberfeldie Sports Club

The Aberfeldie Sports Club is the heart of local, grass root sports. Situated in the centre of Essendon, our community fosters talent across both junior & senior teams in the EDFL (Football & Netball), VTCA & NWMCA (Cricket).

We are dedicated to providing an inclusive & enjoyable environment for all members of the community, with our structured and professional sporting programs renowned for promoting junior participants love of the game and delivering on-field success across all age-groups.

Our club is run by a committee of management governed by the constitution available here. Our committee holds ultimate responsibility for the legal and financial affairs of the club. There are seven sub-committees within the structure of the Sports Club Constitution: Senior Cricket, Junior Cricket, Senior Football, Women’s Football, Junior Football & Netball.

Our Story - 75 Years of Community

The Aberfeldie Sports Club celebrated our 75th anniversary at the 2023 Gala Ball. A short video was prepared to capture some of the success and achievements of the club along with what the club means to its members and community.

FACILITIES

At Aberfeldie Sports Club, we’re proud to call Clifton Park our home — a first-class sporting precinct designed for both performance and community. Following a major redevelopment completed in 2025, the new Clifton Park Pavilion offers modern, multipurpose spaces that support our football and cricket programs, as well as broader community use.

Our facilities include:

A brand-new multipurpose pavilion featuring social rooms for family and member functions, club events, and community gatherings.
A fully equipped commercial kitchen, providing home-style meals on selection nights and gameday dinners throughout the year.
Four state-of-the-art cricket training nets with retractable dividers, giving players a professional training environment for both junior and senior levels.
A resurfaced main oval (2021) and expanded undercover spectator areas, providing a premium playing surface and a comfortable viewing experience for supporters.

With these upgrades, Aberfeldie Sports Club continues to offer one of the best community sporting environments in the region — where families, players, and supporters come together to enjoy sport at its best.
