We are very excited and privileged to announce Rob Green as our head coach for season 2024, Rob comes with a very rich background in playing and coaching footy.

Having played 435 career games, Rob has also coached juniors, senior men and senior women at Flemington, Essendon Grammar and PEGS. He’s also spent time at Calder Cannons in recruitment and for the last 5 years has been running a programme called Game Sense Footy, teaching fundamentals to juniors and seniors at all levels. His Coaching Philosophy: Is giving players the best opportunity to perform their craft in a supportive environment.

We welcome Rob to Abers and look forward to season 2024 with him at the helm.

SENIOR WOMENS DIV 2 - we are thrilled to announce Steve ‘Robbo’ Robinson as coach of our second women’s team. Robbo has been in our women’s footy program a long time having previously coached our u18.5 girls in 2019 and was last years Div 2 assistant. Delighted to have his experience and knowledge leading our second team next year, working closely alongside Rob.

UNDER 18.5 GIRLS - we are happy to say that Glenn Walsh who coached our 18 girls this year will stay on as coach in 2024. Glenn has also been in our girls and women’s program since its inception so he knows a lot of the girls very well. Walshy as he’s better known is much loved by the Abers community and we can’t wait to again watch him work closely with the senior teams as we are one squad.

Let’s bring on season 2024 !
